Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data OGEON.IO LTD collects when you visit ogeon.co or get in touch with us, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
OGEON.IO LTD ("OGEON", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16408064, registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What data we collect
We collect personal data in two ways: information you give us directly, and limited technical information collected automatically when you visit our site.
Information you give us
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, firm/company name, email address, and any message content | When you submit our contact form | To respond to your enquiry and, if it proceeds, to discuss a potential engagement |
| Email address | If you sign up to hear from us directly (where offered) | To send you updates you've asked to receive |
Information collected automatically
Our site uses Google Fonts, loaded from Google's servers, to display typefaces correctly. This means your browser makes a request to Google, which may log your IP address as part of normal web server operation. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Why we process your data (legal basis)
- Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries sent through our contact form is necessary for us to run a consultancy business, and we consider this a reasonable expectation of anyone submitting the form.
- Contract — where you become a client, we process data necessary to deliver and administer that engagement.
- Consent — for anything optional, such as marketing emails, where we will ask first and let you withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers who help us run our business (for example, email or scheduling tools), who are contractually required to keep it secure and only use it for the purpose we specify. We do not share your data with any other third party without telling you, unless required by law.
International transfers
Some service providers we use (including Google, for font delivery) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's compliance with UK-recognised data transfer safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and follow up on a potential engagement, and no longer than [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] after our last contact, unless a client relationship means we need to keep it longer for contractual, accounting, or legal reasons.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances
- Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data
- Ask for your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
